Car Rider Parents: In the mornings, please make sure your student exits the car from the passenger's side. Traffic is continuously moving through the outside lane, making it unsafe for your child to get out on that side. Also, please remain in your car while dropping students off in the car rider line. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate bus issues. To accommodate for Bus 31's afternoon route, Bus 157 will begin the South Skeenah Rd to Newman Rd route, starting this afternoon. Bus 31 will begin the North Skeenah / Belle Dowdle route next Tuesday. Details will be sent soon. This is for the AFTERNOONS ONLY. Bus 31 will continue covering both routes in the mornings.
Our empty routes are being filled by teachers who have stepped up to meet the needs of the community. Feel free to contact our office if you have questions or would like to help. Thank you!

Tomorrow is the day we will welcome ALL our Wildcats to school! All PreK and Kindergarten students will be arriving for their first full day of school. Please prepare for delays and bring lots of patience and understanding as they learn to navigate around our campus. We can't wait to see everybody!

Bus 31 (previously Bus 32) will not run in the afternoon, so please make preparations to get your student(s) home. Bus 25 will not run in the mornings, so please make arrangements to get them to school. We are trying to find drivers, so hopefully this is a temporary inconvenience. Please call us if you would like to drive a bus!

Latest Bus Update:
Bus 35 will run both morning and afternoon daily now.
Bus 25 will not run a morning route at the beginning of school, but will run an afternoon route daily. Possible driver secured, training in progress...
Bus 32 still does not have a driver for the afternoons, but will run in the mornings daily.
We are working as best we can to secure drivers. We will keep you updated as the situation changes. Again, if you are willing to drive a bus, please reach out to our office. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Good Evening, Students and Parents,
This is Allison Guynn. I want to share some important news with you. I have accepted a new position as the Director of Testing and Accountability, as well as the Director of Career Technical Education for Macon County.
It has been an incredible honor to serve as the Principal of South Macon for the past fourteen years. I am grateful for the many families who have walked through our doors, and I cherish the memories we have created together.
I am pleased to announce that Mrs. Angie Ledford, our former Assistant Principal, has been appointed as the new Principal of South Macon. You can be confident that she will continue to prioritize your child's educational experience and work tirelessly to meet their needs.
Please join me in celebrating Mrs. Angie Ledford in her new role as Principal.

We would like to make everyone aware that the class list will
not be posted on the front doors of our school building this
year. This ensures the confidentiality of student information.
Parents and guardians can find out who their child’s teacher
will be by signing into Infinite Campus, the account used for this
year’s school registration, where grades, attendance, and
personal information can be accessed and updated. If you have
not registered your student for the upcoming school year, you
will not be able to access the assigned classroom teacher until
Open House on August 21 st from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. If you
have any questions about registering your student for this
school year, please don’t hesitate to contact us Monday
through Thursday when our Data Manager is available.
On July 31 st , assignments for classroom teachers will be
