Here are all of the Kindness Ambassadors from South Macon! This October, for Bullying Prevention Month, SME teachers and staff nominated students who go above and beyond to show kindness, acceptance, and inclusion with their peers. We at South Macon are so proud of these students and know that they will continue to be good leaders and examples for current and future Wildcats!

Of these Ambassadors, three were randomly selected for a raffle drawing for a gift basket or scooters. Congrats to these three!

💙💛 CELEBRATING THE HEART & SOUL OF SOUTH MACON ELEMENTARY! 💛💙
✨ Happy Principal Appreciation Month to our very own Mrs. Angie Ledford! ✨

Every great school has a leader, but the truly special ones have a leader who pours her heart into the people, the purpose, and the community she serves. At South Macon Elementary, we are blessed to have that kind of leader in Mrs. Angie Ledford. 🐾💙💛

Mrs. Ledford is so much more than our principal. She is our rock on the hard days, our light when things get heavy, our encourager when we need it most, and the fierce leader who continues to show up for our school family with strength, grace, and determination. Being a principal is not always easy, and not every day comes with a thank-you, a celebration, or recognition for the countless decisions, difficult conversations, and challenges that come with leading a school. But day after day, she shows up, stands strong, and continues to put the needs of our students, staff, and school community at the heart of what she does. ❤️

We see the things she does every day. We see the way she leads, the way she advocates for our students, the way she supports her staff, and the way she works to make South Macon the very best it can be. But we also know there is SO MUCH that happens behind the scenes that most people never see. The extra time, the weight of difficult decisions, the problems she quietly works to solve, the things she carries home with her, and the countless ways she gives of herself to make sure our school keeps moving forward. Those things may not always be visible, but they matter more than words can say.

Leadership isn't just about being the person in charge. It's about being the person who continues to care, even on the hardest days. It's about making tough decisions, standing firm when it matters, leading with compassion, and showing up for your people even when the job feels heavy. Mrs. Ledford embodies that kind of leadership, and we are so fortunate to have her leading our Wildcat family. 🐾

Mrs. Ledford, we hope you know that you are appreciated for MORE than what you do. You are appreciated for who you are. For your strength. For your heart. For your dedication. For the love you pour into this school. And for the countless things you do that may never make it into a newsletter, a Facebook post, or a thank-you note.

You make a difference in ways you may never fully realize, and the impact of your leadership reaches so much further than you can see. South Macon is more than a school because of the people who make it special, and you are such a huge part of what makes this place feel like HOME. 💙💛

Today, we celebrate YOU! We celebrate the leader, the encourager, the problem-solver, the advocate, and the incredible woman behind the title of Principal. Thank you for being our rock, our light, and one of the biggest reasons we are proud to say we are WILDCATS! 🐾

WE SEE YOU. WE APPRECIATE YOU. WE ARE THANKFUL FOR YOU. AND WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE YOU LEADING OUR WILDCAT FAMILY!
