Scholarship season is in full swing, new scholarship opportunities are being posted weekly. Make sure your student is checking the Google Classroom regularly. Hard copies of each local scholarship that is currently available posted in the Counseling Cove. Round 2 of the scholarship season is drawing to a close, and we do not want your student to miss out on an opportunity to assist with the next chapter in their lives!

All 11th grade students are scheduled to take the ACT Test on Tuesday, March 7 at Franklin High School.

We have included a video link on how to set up your My ACT account. This is only for students who are planning on taking the ACT test multiple times. If you would like to set up a My ACT Account, please stop by to pick up your Non-Test Instructions paper from Mrs. Ensley in the counseling office.

This week is National School Counselor week! We are blessed at Franklin High School to have three of the best. Kim Ensley, Dan Gibson and Robin Sumner do an outstanding job each day for our students. Our counselors provide social and emotional support as well as preparing students for testing, college and life.

Please note that the application deadline for the FHS Class of 1961 Scholarship has been EXTENDED to Friday, February 3rd. Make sure that you are staying on top of your scholarship applications - don't let free money go to waste! Make sure you are regularly checking your email and the google classroom.

Hey Panthers! Join us for a night under the stars! The FHS Court Dance will be held on Saturday, January 28th. The ceremony will start at 7:30, and the dance will follow. We hope to see you there!
All FHS students report to their Advisor at the beginning of first period. Student schedules will be sent to student emails this evening.
FHS will be administering the ASVAB examination tomorrow (1/18/23). The test will begin at 9:00am in the FHS media center computer lab. Those that are scheduled to attend must arrive by 8:45am.
There are still limited spaces available for the ASVAB test. The test is available to Juniors and Seniors only. If interested, please contact Dan Gibson (School Counselor) via email daniel.gibson@macon.k12.nc.us.
Local scholarships applications are available in the Senior Google Classroom and in the Counseling office.
Drivers Ed will be having a 200 question exemption test on January 28th at 9am in FHS in cafeteria. You will need to go to wncdrivingschool.com to register for this test. Make sure to read website for items to bring on test date.

Exams for courses with state testing will be given January 9-13 with first period exams on the 9th, second period exams on the 10th and so on. Exam periods during this week will extend from 8:05 each morning until 12:30. Review sessions for the next scheduled exam will be offered each afternoon. Absences next week will be recorded, but will not count against students for attendance policy purposes. Students who wish to leave after the exam period must have a physical paper note to turn in before leaving at 12:30. Students will not be called out of class during the exam period. If your student has an unavoidable conflict, please notify Pam Roper as soon as possible by calling the front desk at 524-6467.
