Monday was an amazing night for soccer at FHS! While we didn’t get the win on the scoreboard, our players had an opportunity to give back to the community. They offered many of our future Panthers Soccer Players a chance to experience taking the field with the team.
In a perfect world, we would have won the match, as well. However, tonight gave the men on the team a glimpse of what it’s like to be a mentor.
Also, we can’t thank the fans enough for the amazing support you showed tonight! You cheered the team on all the way through. You helped create an atmosphere that gave the guys on the team a burst of energy to keep up the effort.
Proud to be a Franklin Panther!

Mr. Gibson spent time last week at the Macon County Fairgrounds helping show livestock with some very special buddies.

On Wednesday, September 18, Macon County students attended Noon Rotary. During this time, students were able to share about their experiences with Southwestern Community College Public Safety pathway and the new Firefighter Academy. In addition, Hunter Jamison, a former Franklin High School graduate and current employee of the Macon County Sheriff's Office, was able to share his experience as he is a product of the Public Safety pathway. A very special shout out to Larry Pickens for his dedication to this program and these students! Panther football senior Braydon Hervey has earned statewide recognition. With 491 yards from scrimmage and 10 touchdowns in his first three games, Braydon Hervey is off to a historic start, leading Franklin to 20-point wins over Murphy, Robbinsville and Swain.
Recently the N.C. High School Athletic Association named Hervey the first-ever male winner of its new Performance of the Month award, given to just two athletes across the state for the month of August.
The senior has also posted two interceptions including one returned for a touchdown, and 140 return yards for an all-purpose total of 631.

Dear Franklin High School Families,
To assist with your planning, we would like to inform you that Tuesday, October 8th will be a virtual learning day for all Franklin High School students, except for 10th graders.
On this day, 10th-grade students are required to attend school in person to complete the state mandated PreACT. Morning bus transportation, breakfast, and lunch will be provided for those attending. Please note that 10th-grade students will need to arrange for alternative transportation home after testing is completed.
Students will be taking the test on their Ipads. Ipads need to be 100% charged. Students need to be at FHS by 8 am and testing should conclude around 11 am.
This adjustment applies only to Franklin High School students.

Congratulations to Franklin’s Braydon Hervey on being selected as the first NCHSAA OrthoCarolina Performance of the Month for the 2024-2025 school year.
Congratulations Braydon!!!

Dear Parents and Students,
We need your help to keep breakfast and lunch free for the next four years. Please encourage your student to take advantage of the free breakfast and lunch provided. Additionally, it's crucial that you complete the online lunch application, regardless of whether you think you qualify. This helps us ensure continued funding and may provide important benefits like Sunbucks and potential financial aid for college.
Thank you for your support!
